Good ingredients. Great food. Enjoy seed-to-plate cuisine.

15 Years and Counting

Across from the historic New Haven Green, ZINC offers an innovative seed-to-plate menu that celebrates the surrounding community. Sustainable food has been the focus of ZINC since opening its doors in 1999 and has helped earn our place as a fixture in the downtown landscape. Our modern interpretation of “American Food” which is local market inspired and globally infused with a focus on sustainable food offers a dining experience fit for even the most enthusiastic of foodies.

Owners Who Care

“We love being part of New Haven. We watch the city welcome college freshmen and bid farewell to seniors every year. We’ve applauded countless curtain calls at our beloved theatres. We’ve witnessed growth and transformation of our city from local businesses, to residents, to our amazing Famer’s Markets. We can’t imagine being anywhere else as we embark upon our next 15 years.”
-Denise Appel, Chef + Owner and Donna Curran, Owner

Part of New Haven

ZINC has evolved into one of the city’s most popular gathering spots for both local foodies and visiting ones.

Our dedication to fresh and inspiring dishes and food and cocktail combinations is a huge part of what’s helped us gain popularity year after year. But also, it’s about our commitment to New Haven. We’ve made it our business to truly be engaged in what goes on in our local community—from cultural events, to raising money for all sorts of local organizations, to working directly with CitySeed to support sustainable food and local farms.
